From Feb. 5-7, 2008, the Media Interaction Lab will present a brand-new interactive table and whiteboard at the Austrian exhibition ITnT, Vienna. You will find our device at the Microsoft booth in the corner “Innovation Microsoft”. This table has been developed together with the furniture company Team 7. The project is also supported by voestalpine Informationstechnologie, Nortel, and AMS Engineering.
Nortel is working with the Media Interaction Lab to study remote conferencing solutions of the future based on multi-touch and pen-based interactive collaboration techniques.
On December 17, 2007 Raimund Dachselt gave a presentation about “Three Dimensional Interaction Techniques and Zoomable User Interfaces for Mixed Reality Applications”. Currently, Raimund is an associate professor at the University of Magdeburg. During his visit at the Media Interaction Lab, we decided to work together on new collaborative tabletop applications.
