Our work-in-progress “Rotating, Tilting, Bouncing: Using an Interactive Chair to Promote Activity in Office Environments” got accepted for CHI2013!

In this work, we propose to address the problem of sedentariness in the context of office work through smooth integration of light physical activity into the daily work routine. Equipping a flexible office chair with motion sensing functionality, the chair becomes a ubiquitous input device that provides an office worker with the possibility to use the movements of his body to control his workplace computer through rotating, tilting, or bouncing gestures.

We’re looking forward to present and discuss the work with conference attendees at the poster presentation session!
See you in Paris!
